I was so excited to blog about our Easter party that I forgot to blog the last day of our vacation. On the way home from Spain we stopped in a little Portuguese city called Evora. It is a really charming old city with so much history. We had a little picnic here in a little grassy area in front of these Roman ruins of a Temple of Diana. It is incredible to think of how old these ruins must be!

You can see how huge the temple must have been when it was all still there.
After enjoying out picnic, walking around the city and seeing a huge cathedral we decided to hunt down the famous Chapel of Bones. I am not sure what I expected but it really is a small chapel completely covered in bones. No one was killed in the making of the chapel the bones were dug up from the cemetery by monks and the chapel was "decorated" with the bones as a statement on the human condition (or something along those lines). There is an creepy inscription at the entrance that says, Nós ossos que aqui estamos, pelos vossos esperamos: "Our bones that are here wait for yours!" We all thought it was super creepy except Sahara who thought it was super cool!
One last picture of the city so I don't leave you with the last picture being the bones:)

I can't decide what I think of the bones, but am highly intrigued by it all.
